Theatreknitter is going to jail!!!

That is correct folks, I am going to jail for the MDA lock-up. On May 20th at 2pm I will be taken to jail. I am hoping to raise $1000 for my bail.

Your 100% tax-deductible donation will help the MDA continue research into the causes of and cures for 43 neuromuscular diseases. Your support of the MDA lock-up will also help MDA provide wheelcharis, clinic visits and summer camp for people in the Beaufort County, NC area.

what is keeping me happy right now

Well, since I am in the process of putting out a major fire (no real flames, but problems just the same) What is keeping me happy. . . .

You see, mom told me she got me seasons 3-7. Now the practical Rory side of me said.. . . . "That is cool, I already have seasons 1 and 2" THe complete GG freak, and sometimes Lorelai side of me said "But I relaly want the cool carrying case, and the gilmorisms book, and I really want the whole set" But I resigned myself to the Rory side and waited patiently (not) for my package. I was off yesterday, came into work today, and the little package was waiting for me.

Right after getting the package, my phone at work rang with the sparks that quickly turned into an inferno. Now it seems to be smoldering embers, which will hopefully be completely doused tomorrow.

knitting night tonight!! I started a log cabin for Victory juntion last night. Using super bulky yarn, so it is alreay going quickly. nothing fancy, just done. Blure, red and black.

an update on me (no knitting here)

So first things first, I got my hair done.

I decided that people have been taking things far too seriously. At 13 I was far too insecure to do this to my hair, even though I thought it was pretty cool. I guess at age 32 it is normal to be a bit more secure and able to put bright red streaks in my hair.

Nest, here is my new summertime favorite beer.

Now, for those of you who thought I was crazy, I guess I am. I have started the first steps towards my lifelong dream. If there is anyone out there who has written a business plan, it would be really helpful right now. I qwill fill you all in more as it hashes itself out. I guess I expected people to try and talk me out of it, but nobody has. Everyone thinks it is actually a good idea. Crazy huh?

Well, I am at work, so I guess I should actually be trying to get some work done (details, details)
That's my life in a nutshell. I will post more about knitting, and gardening, early in the week.

Sip and Stitch

Wow, I haven't posted in a LOOOONG time, so sorry. SO today, since I am at work and have internet, I will post a lot. Well. . not a lot, but some. SO the wonderful people at the Tipsy Teapot
are great. They let us invade and knit for hours at a time. Of course, most of us usually end up indulging in one of their amazing sweets and usually there is more than one pot of tea on the table. but I digress. SO a couple of weeks ago we were not only knitting, Oh No. . . . .
Now of course We have knitting. I believe this is the start of a beautiful baby ensemble here. Pretty in pink It is just beautiful.






Then, on to crochet. We have an incredible hooker in the group. This is a string grocery bag that she just about completed in 2 hours. How amazing is that. I think we are all going to become hookers at this point.





Then on to drop spindle. bluemoonartistry Got a lesson in drop spindling. It was so great to watch this

Till next week. This has been a wonderful outlet for all of us I think. We are a great group of ladies. We have a college professor, a home schooling mom of 7, another mom who just moved here, a mom of a 2 year old and an 8 year old. . and everything in between. It is so great. Every night we have people coming up to us to ask if they can join us too, it has been great fun.

well, it has been a long week. . .

And it isn't even over yet. Still one more day. WOrk has been tiring this week, but I did get to spend a lovely day with my mom. I discovered this week that part one of my dream job could be up for sale (or at least I am sure someone wants to unload it) Now we all know that I could not afford it (SO nobody think I am running to buy a theatre) but there is a tiny little theatre in Stony creek, CT called the Stony Creek puppet house. It is currently closed (I believe indefinitly) because of fire code violations. It is exactly what i need to get started with what I want to do. It is PERFECT!!!!
